Repatriation of Divine Adili's Remains to Nigeria Underway

Preparations for the repatriation of Divine Adili's remains to Nigeria are now in progress, nearly two weeks after the Ateneo de Manila University student-athlete died in a drowning incident in Aurora province along with his teammate Rene Baterbonia.

Ateneo Coordinates with Family and Authorities

According to Ateneo, the university is coordinating with Adili's family and relevant authorities to facilitate his return and burial in Nigeria, as desired by his family. Fr. Munching de Guzman, SJ, is one of two representatives who will accompany Adili's remains to his home country, and he has begun the necessary travel preparations.

Public Wake and Candle-Light Service Held

A public wake and candle-light service were held for Adili, with condolences also extended by the Embassy of Nigeria in Manila to his family and loved ones.
