Bong Go denies law violation, leaves fate to God amid ICC warrant

Senator Christopher “Bong” Go has firmly denied violating any law and said he leaves everything to God, following reports that the International Criminal Court (ICC) has supposedly issued an arrest warrant against him.

Go stated that police matters were never part of his mandate and expressed hope that the issue would not be politicized. The controversy arose after Davao City First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte claimed he had information that the ICC had issued an arrest warrant against Go and two other former police officials.

However, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said it has not yet received any formal notification regarding the matter. Go and Senator Ronald Dela Rosa are among the officials named by the ICC as allegedly responsible for crimes against humanity related to former President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs.
