Welcoming Ceremonies
The visit featured an afternoon tea in the Green Room and the unveiling of the new White House beehive on the South Lawn. King Charles III is scheduled to address Congress on April 28, and a state dinner has been prepared at the White House. The itinerary also includes a visit to the 9/11 Memorial in New York.
Anniversary Celebration
The royal visit is part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence. Despite tensions related to the conflict in Iran, the monarchy emphasized that the U.S.-U.K. relationship remains strong.
