A late-night agreement for companionship in Cebu City turned into a heated confrontation, leading to police intervention at the Abellana Police Station. The incident involved a Russian foreigner and two transgender individuals, with conflicting claims of theft and contract violation.
Conflicting Stories at the Police Station
The altercation began in the early hours of Tuesday, January 13, 2026, around 2:00 AM. According to the initial police report, the Russian national claimed he was robbed of his money after checking into a hotel on Escario Street, Cebu City, with the two individuals.
The foreigner alleged that after they all agreed to meet and proceeded to the rented room, he briefly entered the bathroom. Upon his return, he discovered that money from his small bag on the table was missing, and the two companions had quickly left the premises. The Russian managed to catch up with them, leading to the police call.
The Other Side of the Story: A Disagreement Over Terms
At the Abellana Police Station, the two transgender individuals, one identified as alias Shirly, presented a completely different narrative. They asserted they were the victims, not thieves.
Shirly explained that their agreement with the foreigner was for one round of sexual service for a fee of P2,000. They claimed the Russian had paid them after the first round but then demanded a second round, which they refused as it was not part of their initial deal.
"Our deal was for one time only, but after he finished, he gave us P2,000 each but he wanted a second round. We did not agree because the deal was for 1 round only. That's why he got angry, he was about to hit us, so we were the ones who called the police, not him," Shirly stated during the investigation.
The pair expressed fear, saying the Russian told them he was a national who knew karate and threatened them. It was at this point that Shirly took out a cellphone and recorded a video of the agitated foreigner as evidence.
Resolution and Withdrawal of Complaint
Following discussions at the police station, the two transgender individuals decided not to pursue formal charges. They confirmed they had already received the P2,000 payment from the Russian and felt secure after police intervention.
The case highlights the vulnerabilities and potential for conflict in informal transactions. The Cebu City Police Office, through the Abellana Police Station, handled the dispute, ensuring the situation did not escalate into violence.
