DILG Forms Fact-Finding Team on Angeles Building Collapse

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has formed a fact-finding team to investigate the collapse of a nine-story building in Angeles City, Pampanga. DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla announced that the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) will lead the investigation.

Investigation Details

Secretary Remulla stated that the team will thoroughly examine who may be at fault for the incident. The collapse occurred early Sunday morning, resulting in at least four confirmed deaths and 18 others reported missing.

Official Response

The DILG chief emphasized that the investigation aims to determine any lapses or negligence that led to the tragedy. The CIDG will coordinate with local authorities and other agencies to ensure a comprehensive probe.
