P6.8M Drugs Seized, 5 Arrested in Marawi City

ZAMBOANGA. Lawmen arrested five suspects, including a woman, and seized approximately P6.8 million worth of illegal drugs in an intelligence-driven law enforcement operation on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in Basak Malutlut village, Marawi City, Lanao del Sur.

Operation Details

Police Colonel Caezar Cabuhat, Lanao del Sur police director, reported that the arrested individuals were led by alias Paks Mawi. The suspects were apprehended during a buy-bust operation in Basak Malutlut, Marawi City.

Seized Items

Authorities confiscated one kilogram of suspected shabu valued at P6.8 million, marked money and boodle money used in the operation, a subcompact multi-purpose vehicle, mobile phones, identification cards, and other items.

Post-Arrest Procedures

The arrested individuals and confiscated evidence were brought to the Marawi City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.
