Tigbauan Police Nab Province's 8th Most Wanted Criminal
Police operatives from the Tigbauan Municipal Police Station successfully captured Iloilo province's eighth most wanted person during a targeted manhunt operation in Barangay Namocon, Tigbauan, Iloilo. The arrest occurred at approximately 1:35 p.m. on November 15, 2025, marking a significant achievement for local law enforcement efforts.
Details of the Arrest and Criminal Charges
The suspect, known by the alias Janjan, is a 30-year-old businessman residing in Poblacion, Tigbauan, Iloilo. Law enforcement authorities took him into custody based on an active warrant of arrest issued for serious criminal offenses.
The warrant, which led to his capture, charges him with statutory rape under Article 266-A (1)(D) of the Revised Penal Code as amended by Republic Act 7610. Additionally, he faces charges for acts of lasciviousness under Article 336 of the same legal code.
Branch 72 of the Regional Trial Court, 6th Judicial Region in Guimbal, Iloilo issued the arrest warrant on November 12, 2025. The court recommended no bail for the statutory rape charge while setting a bail bond of P200,000 for the acts of lasciviousness charge.
