The operation unfolded around 6 p.m. in Barangay Poblacion, Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay, where joint forces from the Barotac Nuevo Municipal Police Station and the Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Intelligence Unit moved in to apprehend the suspect. The target, known only by the alias Edgar, is a 26-year-old male resident of Pototan, Iloilo, who had been evading authorities for his alleged involvement in a serious criminal case.
Police executed a warrant of arrest for murder issued by the Regional Trial Court in Dumangas, Iloilo, ensuring the operation followed proper legal procedures. Following his capture, the suspect was immediately transferred to the Barotac Nuevo Municipal Police Station for comprehensive documentation and case disposition, maintaining the integrity of the legal process.
