The PATROL Partylist has forged a strategic partnership with prominent road safety advocate Bonifacio Bosita to conduct a series of consultative meetings throughout Pampanga. This initiative is specifically designed to bolster road safety advocacy efforts and enhance community-based services across the province.
Leadership and Collaborative Efforts
The meetings were spearheaded by PATROL Partylist founder Jorge 'Patrol' Bustos, Youth Chairman Ton-ton Bustos, and Bonifacio Bosita. Bosita, a retired police colonel, serves as the chairman of the Road Safety Advocates of the Philippines (RSAP), bringing extensive expertise to the collaboration.
Engaging Local Communities
The group commenced their outreach in Barangay Pulung Maragul, Angeles City, where they engaged directly with barangay officials and residents. Following this, a separate meeting was convened with Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) presidents, barangay captains, local officials, and core members of the PATROL Partylist from various towns and cities across Pampanga.
These sessions are focused on gathering critical concerns and actionable suggestions from local leaders and community members regarding road safety and other service-oriented programs. The goal is to create a comprehensive framework that addresses pressing issues at the grassroots level.
Strengthening Advocacy Through Partnership
Bosita emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating it will significantly broaden their advocacy reach. He highlighted the synergy between the groups, noting, "It is excellent that we have joined forces with Congressman Patrol Jorge Bustos and Mayor Ton-Ton Bustos because what I cannot accomplish alone in your area, I can now delegate to them. We are united in this cause."
Bustos elaborated on the partnership's objectives, explaining that it centers on promoting safety while simultaneously expanding assistance programs. "Col. Bosita and the Patrol Partylist are here because we share the same fundamental advocacy: safety. Together with Patrol, we aim to extend his achievements beyond road problems to include poverty alleviation, scholarships, and medical assistance," he stated.
Future Plans and Provincial Outreach
Bustos further announced that the group plans to continue holding consultative meetings across Pampanga to actively promote their advocacies. This ongoing effort underscores their commitment to fostering dialogue, implementing effective solutions, and ensuring that community voices are integral to policy and program development.
