In a significant crackdown on illegal narcotics, the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) successfully conducted a drug bust operation that resulted in the recovery of a substantial quantity of a substance believed to be shabu, with an estimated street value of P544,000. The operation took place on January 27, 2026, at Purok Bolinao in Barangay 1, Bacolod City, marking a critical victory in the ongoing fight against drug trafficking in the region.

Arrest of High-Value Drug Personality

The operation led to the immediate arrest of a suspect identified by the alias "Boyboy/Bor," a 26-year-old resident of the same barangay. According to official BCPO records, the suspect was apprehended by operatives from the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) after he allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover police officer acting as a poseur buyer. This tactical move underscores the police's proactive approach in targeting key figures within the drug trade.

Recovery of Evidence and Charges Filed

During the arrest, police officers confiscated several plastic sachets containing the suspected shabu, which collectively weighed approximately 80 grams. Additionally, the marked money used in the transaction was recovered as part of the evidence. The BCPO has classified the suspect as a high-value drug personality in Bacolod City, highlighting his significant role in local narcotics distribution networks. Following the operation, the suspect was detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 2 and is now facing serious legal repercussions.

He has been charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which carries severe penalties for drug-related offenses.
