Cebu Archdiocese Warns of Scams Using Archbishop's Name

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cebu (RCAC) has issued a public advisory urging the public to exercise caution when dealing with individuals or groups who claim or pose as representatives of the Archbishop of Cebu.

In a notice published on the official Facebook page of the RCAC, the public is asked to ensure that any transaction, request, solicitation for donations, or agreement made in the name of the Archbishop is genuine and authorized.

The Archdiocese advises the public to verify the legitimacy of any such dealings before responding or entering into any agreement. This can be done by directly contacting the Archbishop's Office at the following telephone numbers: (032) 253-3382 and (032) 254-0951.
