Iloilo Police Arrest 415 Fugitives in 11 Months

The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) has reported a significant achievement in its campaign to clear the streets of fugitives, with a total of 415 wanted persons arrested in a series of operations spanning eleven months.

Major Takedown of Wanted Individuals

From January 1 to November 30, 2025, police units across Iloilo City conducted 425 separate operations targeting individuals with standing warrants. Police Colonel Kim Legada, the director of ICPO, commended the dedication of the operating teams. He emphasized that the successful arrests send a clear signal to those still at large. "May these accomplishments serve as a warning to the remaining fugitives that they cannot hide forever from the long arm of the law," Legada stated.

The police chief also called for continued community support, welcoming any information from the public that could lead to more arrests. The campaign is part of the broader mandate of the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6) to enhance public safety by actively pursuing wanted individuals.

Data from the City Investigation and Detection Management Unit provides a detailed look at the arrests:

  • 85 individuals were classified as Most Wanted Persons (MWPs).
  • 330 individuals were listed as Other Wanted Persons (OWPs).

The MWP category included one national-level, 12 regional, four provincial, 40 city, and 27 municipal or station-level most wanted persons.

The Iloilo City Mobile Force Company (ICMFC) led all units with 86 arrests. Following them were various city police stations, with the top performers being:

  • Iloilo City Police Station (ICPS) 3: 48 arrests
  • ICPS 4: 37 arrests
  • ICPS 2: 35 arrests

The City Intelligence Unit (CIU) also contributed 16 arrests to the total, highlighting the importance of coordinated efforts between intelligence, mobile, and station-based forces.

Sustained Campaign for a Safer Iloilo

The ICPO attributes the high number of arrests to the effective coordination among its different units. This 11-month intensive drive demonstrates a sustained commitment to law enforcement and order.

Authorities have reiterated that the campaign against wanted persons is ongoing. The police encourage residents of Iloilo City to remain vigilant and to report any relevant information that could assist in locating the remaining fugitives. This partnership between law enforcement and the community is seen as vital for maintaining and further improving safety and security in the city for the coming months.
