The Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO) has been crowned the national champion of the prestigious Enhanced Management of Police Operations (EMPO) 2025 Challenge. The unit achieved an impressive score of 98.53 percent, showcasing exceptional proficiency in handling critical situations.

The EMPO Challenge is a high-stakes competition designed to test the operational readiness of police units across the Philippines. It presented participants with a simulated robbery scenario, rigorously evaluating their ability to respond effectively to complex and dangerous incidents. The MCPO's performance stood out due to its strong leadership, appropriate operational skills, and the delivery of precise and accurate decisions during the simulation.

The award was formally presented to MCPO Director, Police Col. Cirilo Acosta Jr., by Police Brigadier Gen. Redrico Maranan in a ceremony held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. The EMPO Challenge is a priority program of Police Lieutenant Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., the Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP). The initiative promotes the adoption of modern policing strategies, including data-driven policing and the use of advanced technology to solve various types of crime.
