The Police Regional Office in Soccsksargen (PRO-12) has reported a major victory against crime for the year 2025, confiscating illegal substances and contraband with a total value exceeding 307 million pesos.

Massive Drug Haul and Arrests

According to PRO-12 director, Police Brigadier General Arnold Ardiente, their relentless campaign against illegal drugs yielded significant results. Throughout 2025, the police force conducted 1,452 anti-illegal drug operations across the region.

These operations led to the arrest of 1,648 individuals involved in the drug trade. The confiscated narcotics had a combined street value of P90.18 million.

The bulk of the seizure was 12.6 kilograms of shabu (methamphetamine) valued at approximately P85.9 million. Authorities also captured 12.3 kilograms of dried marijuana leaves worth P1.47 million and 14.0 kilograms of marijuana plants estimated at P2.81 million.

"These accomplishments reflect our sustained effort to suppress the drug supply chain and dismantle drug networks operating in the region," General Ardiente stated.

Crackdown on Smuggling Operations

Parallel to the anti-drug drive, PRO-12's campaign against smuggling also recorded impressive figures. Police carried out 469 anti-smuggling operations last year.

These efforts resulted in the apprehension of 392 suspects and the confiscation of a staggering 277,607 reams of smuggled cigarettes. The estimated market value of the seized tobacco products is P217.73 million.

Ardiente emphasized that this strong enforcement action successfully disrupted illegal trading activities in the region. "This safeguarded legitimate businesses and protected government revenues," he added.

A Commitment to Peace and Order

The combined achievements in both campaigns underscore the determined resolve of the Soccsksargen police force. The operations targeted the financial backbone of illicit activities, removing vast amounts of contraband from circulation.

General Ardiente concluded that these successes demonstrate PRO-12's steadfast commitment to its core mission. The primary goal remains to protect communities and maintain peace and order throughout the Soccsksargen region.

The official year-end report was disclosed by the PRO-12 leadership on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, highlighting a year of intensive and effective law enforcement.
