P69.9M Shabu Bust in Bohol: Two Suspects Nabbed in Major Drug Operation
P69.9M Shabu Seized in Bohol Drug Bust

Authorities in Bohol have dealt a massive blow to the illegal drug trade following a successful buy-bust operation that netted over P69.9 million worth of suspected shabu. The operation culminated on the evening of Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in Purok 2, Barangay Dampas, Tagbilaran City.

Massive Haul and Arrests

Two individuals are now in police custody after the carefully planned sting. The suspects were identified as Felix Gallogo, 39, a driver and resident of Valencia, Bohol, and Leonie Lambuson, 47, who hails from Muntinlupa City in Metro Manila. The operation resulted in the confiscation of approximately 10.2 kilograms of the suspected illegal substance.

In addition to the drugs, operatives also recovered several pieces of evidence from the suspects. These included the cellphone used to arrange the transaction, the marked buy-bust money, an echo bag that contained the shabu, and a vehicle described as an Isuzu MU-X with Plate No. GAV 8104.

Weeks of Surveillance and a Metro Manila Link

The breakthrough came after the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) received credible information regarding a large shipment of drugs that had arrived in Tagbilaran. Acting on this tip, police conducted close surveillance on the suspects' activities for three weeks before moving in to make the arrests.

Investigations revealed that Leonie Lambuson was responsible for transporting the illegal drugs from Muntinlupa City to Bohol. Meanwhile, Felix Gallogo allegedly acted as the warehouse keeper or "bodegero" and was tasked with distributing the supply to customers across the province.

Legal Proceedings and Police Leadership

The operation was spearheaded by PLTCOL Joemar Pomarejos of the PIU, in coordination with the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and the Tagbilaran City Police. The entire mission was carried out under the supervision of PCOL Patricio Degay Jr., the chief of the Bohol Provincial Police Office (PPO).

Both suspects are currently detained at the Bohol PNP headquarters. Authorities are now preparing charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The cases will specifically focus on Section 5 (Sale, Trading, Administration, Dispensation, Delivery, Distribution and Transportation of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs).

This significant seizure underscores the continued vigilance of law enforcement in Central Visayas against the narcotics trade and their commitment to intercepting major shipments before they can reach local communities.
