Impeachment Records Public on Senate Website

All documents pertaining to the ongoing impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte are now accessible to the public through the Senate website, Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian announced.

Transparency Measures Announced

According to Gatchalian, this move is part of the Senate's commitment to an open and transparent trial process, as well as maintaining the integrity of the institution. He emphasized that making these records available allows the public to verify the evidence presented during the proceedings.

The Senate President stated that he has directed the Senate Secretariat to ensure sufficient resources are allocated to publish the documents in the fastest and most efficient manner possible, as they are submitted during the trial.

Public Invited to Scrutinize Proceedings

Gatchalian invited all Filipinos to read, examine, and understand the processes of the hearings for themselves. He underscored that while senators serve as senator-judges, the ultimate judge in the impeachment trial is the public.

This initiative aims to foster greater accountability and public trust in the impeachment process, which has drawn significant national attention.
