The Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (Cviraa) has made a remarkable comeback, securing fourth place overall in the 2026 Palarong Pambansa held in Agusan del Sur. The event concluded on Sunday, May 31, 2026, marking the first time since 2018 that Central Visayas has broken into the top four.
Medal Tally and Performance
Cviraa amassed a total of 32 gold medals, 30 silver medals, and 44 bronze medals, showcasing a significant improvement from their seventh-place finish in the 2025 edition held in Ilocos Norte. The delegation's performance highlights the region's growing strength in various sports disciplines.
Top Finishers
As expected, the National Capital Region (NCR) dominated the national sporting meet, cruising to its 19th overall championship with an impressive haul of 91 gold, 71 silver, and 71 bronze medals. Region IV-A secured second place with 55 gold, 50 silver, and 60 bronze medals, while Region XI finished third with 34 gold, 32 silver, and 34 bronze medals. Completing the top five is Western Visayas with 31 gold, 36 silver, and 45 bronze medals.
