Jalen Green Shines in Season Debut as Suns Overpower Clippers
In a dominant display of three-point shooting, the Phoenix Suns secured a decisive 115-102 victory over the short-handed Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night, a game that tipped off on Friday, November 7, 2025, Philippine time.
Stars Absent as Suns Seize Opportunity
The Clippers entered the contest severely undermanned, missing their two top scorers. Kawhi Leonard (averaging 24.3 ppg) was sidelined for a second straight game with a sprained right knee, while James Harden (23.3 ppg) was absent for personal reasons.
Despite being shorthanded, Los Angeles managed to stay competitive through the first half. However, the game was decisively broken open in the third quarter.
Third-Quarter Surge Seals the Win
Phoenix exploded out of halftime with a devastating 33-11 run, effectively putting the game out of reach. The run was fueled by a barrage of three-pointers, including three from Royce O’Neale and a pair from Devin Booker. The Suns outscored the Clippers 40-23 in the third period, building a lead that stretched to as many as 25 points early in the fourth quarter.
While the Clippers managed to trim the deficit to 11 points with two minutes remaining, they never seriously threatened the Suns' lead down the stretch.
Key Performers and Team Stats
Jalen Green was the story of the night, making a spectacular season debut after missing Phoenix's first eight games with a right hamstring strain. In 23 minutes of play, he dropped 29 points and connected on six three-pointers.
He was ably supported by Devin Booker with 24 points, Grayson Allen with 18 points (including four treys), and Royce O’Neale who chipped in 17 points on five three-pointers. As a team, the Suns made 19 three-pointers, just one shy of their season high.
For the Clippers, Ivica Zubac led the way with a season-best 23 points and 11 rebounds. Cam Christie added 17 points, and John Collins scored 13.
In a rough return to Phoenix, former Sun Bradley Beal was held to just five points on 2-of-14 shooting. Beal was facing his old team for the first time since being waived and having the final two years of his contract bought out before signing with the Clippers.
What's Next
With this win, the Suns have now won three of their last four games and improved their home record to 4-1. The Clippers, meanwhile, suffered their third consecutive loss and remained winless on the road at 0-3.
The two teams are set for an immediate rematch, facing off again on Saturday in Inglewood, California (Sunday in the Philippines), with the season series currently tied 1-1.
