The Power 60 Friendship Cup senior citizens basketball tournament reaches its knockout semifinal stage this Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Pardo Sports Complex in Barangay Poblacion Pardo, Cebu City. Two do-or-die games will determine which teams advance to the finals.
Semifinal Matchups
In the opening game at 7:30 a.m., No. 2 seed Power 40 battles No. 4 Pardo Basketball Club (PBC). The main game at 9:00 a.m. features No. 1 seed Mandaue Ball Club (MBC) against No. 3 Lagtang Basketball Gold (LBG).
Both top seeds dominated their opponents during the elimination round. MBC, which claimed the top spot with an undefeated 6-0 record, routed LBG 61-45. Power 40 similarly defeated PBC 74-61 when the tournament opened on May 2 with seven teams.
No Easy Path to Finals
Despite their earlier victories, MBC and Power 40 cannot take their opponents lightly. LBG and PBC are determined to overturn their elimination-round losses and advance.
According to tournament organizers, MBC will rely on key players Fermin Antigua, Blake Casals, and Alex Abano. LBG counters with Jerry Delima, Eric Cabanero, and a player named Econas.
Power 40 leans heavily on Caca Cabatas, Wewe Cabrera, and Alex Ybiernad. PBC will depend on Teody Ebrado, Danny Lim, and Jun Estrada.
