As expected, Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings point guard RJ Abarrientos has won his first Best Player of the Conference award in the ongoing Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Season 50 Commissioner's Cup.

The league officially announced the honor before the start of Game 4 of the finals series between the Gin Kings and TNT Tropang 5G on Wednesday evening, June 10, 2026. Abarrientos' teammate Justin Brownlee, also as expected, won the Best Import award. This is the fourth time Brownlee has received this recognition.
Abarrientos, who has been a key contributor for Ginebra throughout the conference, averaged impressive numbers to secure the top individual plum. His leadership and playmaking were instrumental in guiding the Gin Kings to the finals.
Brownlee, meanwhile, continues to cement his legacy as one of the greatest imports in PBA history. His fourth Best Import award ties him with other legendary imports for the most in league history.
The Gin Kings and Tropang 5G are locked in a tightly contested finals series, with both teams vying for the championship. Abarrientos and Brownlee will look to lead Ginebra to victory in the remaining games.
