The San Antonio Spurs, still reeling from a disappointing season, are looking to strengthen their lineup by targeting strong players in the National Basketball Association (NBA) Rookie Draft.
According to ClutchPoints NBA insider Brett Siegel, the Spurs' front office is planning to execute a trade before the NBA Draft begins next week.
San Antonio is actively seeking ways to move up the draft board. Currently, the team holds three second-round picks: numbers 35, 42, and 44.
The Spurs aim to package these assets to secure a higher selection spot. Their primary goal is to enter the late first-round range or acquire the 31st or 32nd overall pick.
If the front office succeeds in this plan, three prospects have emerged as the team's main targets: Zuby Ejiofor, Joshua Jefferson, and Alex Karaban.
The NBA Draft will take place on Wednesday and Thursday at the Barclays Center.
