The Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings and TNT Tropang 5G are set to face off again on Friday evening, June 12, 2026, for Game 5 of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Season 50 Commissioner's Cup Finals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The series is now tied at 2-2.
TNT Forces Game 5
TNT forced the deadlock after defeating Ginebra, 106-98, in Game 4 on Wednesday night, June 10. The win was powered by a standout performance from Jordan Heading, who scored 29 points. Heading, who averaged just 10 points in the first three games of the best-of-seven series, stepped up when it mattered most.
"My teammates did a good job finding me. I found some rhythm and I took advantage of it," Heading said.
The performance was a result of TNT head coach Chot Reyes' constant reminder to his players that everyone must contribute. While the Tropang 5G are expected to rely on their usual stalwarts — import Chris McCullough, Roger Pogoy, Jayson Castro, and Calvin Oftana — they are not surprised if another player steps up.
"It's actually the combination of guys putting the points and our defense. It kept us in the game in the second half and allowed us to pull off the win," Reyes added.
Ginebra Looks to Bounce Back
On the other side, Ginebra coach Tim Cone admitted that their second-half performance in Game 4 was not good enough and that they need to recover. The Gin Kings will heavily rely on Best Player of the Conference awardee RJ Abarrientos, four-time Best Import Justine Brownlee, Japeth Aguilar, and Scottie Thompson.
The series has seen alternating wins from both teams since Game 1.
