French Fighter Jeremy Roigt Submits Filipino Jomhel Yabo in First Round at Cebu MMA Festival
In a swift and decisive performance, French fighter Jeremy Roigt claimed victory over Filipino opponent Jomhel Yabo with a first-round submission in the mixed martial arts (MMA) main event of the 1st Boss Junaz Martial Arts Festival. The event was held recently at the Sitio Lumanoy Covered Court in the mountainous barangay of Mulao, Liloan City, Cebu.
Dominant Victory in the Main Event
Roigt, who trains with Survival MMA in Cebu City, executed a rear-naked choke that forced Yabo to tap out at 2:23 minutes into the opening round. This marked Yabo's debut fight in MMA, making the loss a challenging introduction to the sport. Interestingly, Roigt was originally on vacation in Cebu but decided to compete after meeting former ONE Championship fighter Roel Rosauro, showcasing the spontaneous nature of combat sports opportunities.
