Mabolo Police Seize P680K Shabu in Buy-Bust Operation

The Mabolo Police Station arrested a 34-year-old lesbian suspect after recovering approximately half a million pesos worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 9:45 PM in Sitio Sindulan, Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

Suspect Identified

The police identified the suspect as alias “Papart,” a resident of the same area. Confiscated from the suspect were several packages of suspected shabu weighing 100 grams. According to the police, the drugs have an estimated value of P680,000 based on the Standard Drug Price.

Evidence and Investigation

The evidence has been brought to the PNP Regional Forensic Unit 7 for chemical analysis. The Mabolo Police Station reported that their Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) received information regarding the suspect's illegal activities, prompting immediate monitoring.

After gathering the necessary information, the operation was launched under the supervision of Police Major Thom Ed Taghoy and led by Police Captain Zeus Livin Bugtai, resulting in the arrest of “Papart.”

Follow-up Operations

The suspect is now under thorough investigation to determine the source of the illegal drugs for possible follow-up operations. Authorities attempted to get a statement from the suspect, but she refused to provide further details.

The Mabolo Police Station is preparing charges against the suspect for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
