The previous lack of adequate, private sanitation facilities was a silent but significant barrier to regular school attendance. Complementing the new facilities was a crucial Basic Personal Hygiene Education and Training session. Here, students learned the vital practices of proper handwashing, personal cleanliness, and disease prevention.
