Government and Nanay Partylist Deliver Aid to Flood-Hit Masantol

Hundreds of residents in Masantol town, Pampanga, who were severely affected by persistent flooding, have received crucial food assistance from the government in partnership with the Nanay Partylist.

The distribution event, which took place on Wednesday, November 13, 2025, was led by Mayor Danilo Guintu at the Golden Residences in Barangay Bebe Anac. A total of 750 families were provided with essential food packs to help them cope with the ongoing crisis.

Continuous Assistance Needed as Floods Persist

Mayor Guintu emphasized the critical need for continuous assistance, explaining that the livelihoods of many families have been disrupted. He reported that all 26 barangays in Masantol remain submerged. This is due to a combination of high tide and floodwaters flowing down from the upstream sections of the Pampanga River.

"Baha pa po ang halos buong munisipyo kaya maraming pamilya ang hindi halos makapaghanapbuhay. Itong ganitong tulong ay talagang makakaginhawa sa mga pamilya kahit ilang araw," Guintu stated, highlighting how the aid provides temporary relief for struggling families.

Provincial Leaders Show Support for Masantol Residents

Local officials expressed their gratitude for the support from provincial leaders and the party list. Mayor Guintu specifically thanked Nanay Partylist, Governor Lilia Pineda, and Vice Governor Dennis Pineda for their concern and assistance.

This aid distribution follows a separate visit by Vice Governor Dennis Pineda to the municipality just a day earlier, on Tuesday. During his visit, he personally checked on the situation in the affected areas and distributed food packs to 850 families.

"Lubos ang pasalamat namin sa patuloy nilang malasakit at suporta dito sa amin sa Masantol," Mayor Guintu said, conveying the community's profound appreciation for the unwavering support during this difficult time.
