P400M Drugs Seized in Cebu City Anti-Illegal Drug Ops

Approximately P400 million worth of illegal drugs were seized in various areas of Cebu City during anti-illegal drug operations conducted by the Sawang Calero Police Station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA 7).

The latest operation was carried out by the PDEA-Regional Special Enforcement Team-Mandaue City Office at a drug den in Sitio Brupa, Barangay Sambag II, Cebu City at around 11:44 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026.

However, their target, identified as alias Jan-Jan, 30, who was managing the drug den, managed to escape. Only his accomplice, Romeo Donaire, 26, a resident of the area, was arrested.

Found inside the drug den sniffing shabu were Art Lloyd Sacal Mayol, 34, and Reynel Alueta Bandalan, 28, both from Barangay Sambag 2.

Operatives seized eight packages of suspected shabu weighing 15 grams with an estimated average market value of P102,000.

Meanwhile, the Sawang Calero Police Station also arrested a 35-year-old man after a buy-bust operation at around 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2026, on Magsaysay Street, Barangay Suba, Cebu City.

The arrested individual, who is on the list of high-value individuals, was identified as Carlito Camay Torrefiel, alias “Carl,” 35, a resident of the area.

Operatives from the Sawang Calero Police Station recovered packets of suspected shabu weighing a total of 50.20 grams with a standard drug price of P341,360. / AYB
