The Overseas Workers Welfare Association (OWWA) has made significant strides in supporting Filipino workers abroad, with more than 350,000 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) receiving OWWA E-Cards during the past year. This initiative is part of the agency's Alagang OWWA Programs, designed to provide comprehensive assistance to OFWs globally.

Key Benefits and Features of the OWWA E-Card

The OWWA E-Card serves as official proof of active membership in the association, offering numerous advantages to holders. Key benefits include:

  • Streamlined access to essential services such as repatriation and reintegration programs.
  • Eligibility for various training opportunities and other welfare benefits.
  • Affordability, with the card priced at only $25 and valid for two years.

By simplifying administrative processes, the card helps OFWs navigate challenges while working overseas more efficiently.

Expanding Reach Through Global Caravans

In addition to the e-card distribution, OWWA conducted its Alagang OWWA Caravan across more than 20 posts worldwide. This outreach effort successfully engaged approximately 72,000 OFWs, providing them with direct access to information and support services. The caravan highlights OWWA's commitment to reaching Filipino workers in diverse locations.
