Man Killed in Guadalupe Gun Attack; Suspect Arrested

A 20-year-old man died after being shot by riding-in-tandem assailants on Wednesday evening, June 3, 2026, in Sitio Lower Gun Club, Banawa, Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City. The victim was identified as Ace Decena Gimeno, also known as Istong, single, unemployed, and a resident of Sitio San Roque, Barangay Guadalupe.

Details of the Incident

According to the Guadalupe Police Station investigation, the victim was loitering in the area around 9:00 PM when the suspects suddenly arrived on a motorcycle and shot him multiple times. The perpetrators immediately fled after the crime. Eight bullet casings and one slug were recovered at the scene.

Victim's Last Words

Before succumbing to his injuries, the victim managed to give a name to responding police officers, which became a key lead in the follow-up operation. At around 3:00 AM on June 4, operatives arrested a suspect identified as Jetlee, 29, a tattoo artist.

Suspect's Role

Police said Jetlee allegedly lured the victim to the location. He pretended to buy shabu from the victim, but the riding-in-tandem assailants were already waiting there. When Gimeno arrived, he was immediately shot while Jetlee ran away.

Jetlee is now detained at the police station while the Guadalupe Police continue their hot pursuit operation against the two motorcycle-riding killers. Formal murder charges are being prepared against the suspects.
