Speaking to reporters, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro emphasized that President Marcos views the passage of this measure as particularly timely given the current economic climate. "Yes, of course. That is what the President sees, and it is especially timely now," Castro stated when questioned about the urgency of certifying the bill.
The proposed legislation aims to reduce excise rates imposed on petroleum products, directly targeting the financial burden caused by rising fuel costs.
