Retired Marine colonel and AFP Medal of Valor awardee Ariel Querubin has expressed doubts about the true intentions of individuals claiming to be bagmen and bodyguards of former House Appropriations Chair Zaldy Co. The retired soldier questioned the entirety of their statement and what drove them to come out and reveal controversial information.
Querubin Questions Motives
According to Querubin, if their allegations were true, they should have filed a case before going public. He emphasized that they should have used their knowledge and personal experiences to immediately file a complaint in court, rather than through multiple press conferences.
Querubin further asserted that whenever similar 'propaganda' emerges, there is always someone behind it. He also criticized the apparent inconsistencies in the group's testimony, which are noticeable even at first glance.
Call for Senate Hearing
The Medal of Valor awardee stressed that the group should still be summoned to the next hearing of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee under its new chairmanship. He urged a thorough investigation into the truth of their testimonies.
