The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) has announced a significant victory in its campaign against illegal substances, following a series of successful operations throughout November 2025.
Major Haul and Arrests in Month-Long Drive
From November 1 to November 30, 2025, police forces across Iloilo City conducted 58 separate anti-drug operations. These efforts led to the arrest of 64 drug personalities and the confiscation of a massive quantity of illegal drugs.
The seized contraband included approximately 3,264.8182 grams of shabu, with an estimated street value of P22.2 million. Authorities also recovered about 3.2045 grams of marijuana valued at P384.54.
Breakdown of Suspects and Key Units Involved
Among those apprehended were 17 high-value individuals (HVIs) and 47 street-value individuals (SVIs). One suspect was captured based on an outstanding arrest warrant.
Data reveals that the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) for Western Visayas, working with ICPO stations, made the largest single recovery. They seized 1,360.8318 grams of shabu worth over P9.25 million and arrested six suspects.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit followed closely, confiscating 1,180.3523 grams of shabu valued at P8,026,395.64 and making eight arrests. Other stations, including Iloilo City Police Station 2 and Station 10, also contributed substantial amounts to the overall tally.
Police Chief Credits Community Cooperation
Police Colonel Kim Legada, director of the ICPO, emphasized that the successful operations were a result of strong collaboration. He stated that every arrest and seizure demonstrates a shared commitment to protecting life and upholding the law.
"Our operations achieved during the past month prove that when the police and the people work together, nothing is difficult in our fight against illegal drugs and in our desire for a more peaceful Iloilo City," Legada said in a mix of English and Hiligaynon.
Colonel Legada credited the coordinated actions of all ICPO units and their partner teams. He highlighted that the results reflect sustained, citywide efforts to curb drug activity and dismantle the networks that support it.
The November 2025 campaign is seen as a major accomplishment in Iloilo City's ongoing battle against the proliferation of dangerous drugs, showcasing effective law enforcement strategy and public cooperation.
