The Makati City Police Station has prepared charges against a motorist who was carrying a firearm while stopping a pickup truck involved in an accident on Friday night.
Incident Details
According to Makati City Police Chief Colonel Pedro Alagano Jr., they have identified a rider who attempted to puncture the tires of the pickup truck involved in the accident. Another individual, who was holding a gun, was identified as protective agent Joel Sabando.
Colonel Alagano clarified that the incident was a simple road accident where the pickup truck collided with a car from Taguig City, and the chase extended to Makati City.
Driver's Response
The driver of the pickup truck has agreed to cover the damages to the vehicles he hit, as well as the injuries he caused in the accident.
Taguig Police Statement
On the part of the Taguig City Police, Colonel Julius C. Añonuevo stated that immediately after the incident, they deployed officers to investigate the matter.
