General Nartatez emphasized that while no major specific security threats have been identified for the holiday period, the PNP will remain on high alert. This state of heightened vigilance is partly influenced by the recent shooting incident at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, which claimed at least 16 lives.
Community Involvement and Massive Deployment
The PNP is also calling on both tourists and local communities to stay alert and report any suspicious activities through official hotlines and mobile applications. To further bolster protection, the police are expanding community-based programs.
