Aplasca Asks NBI to Defer Appearance Over Senate Shooting Probe
Aplasca Seeks NBI Deferment in Senate Shooting Case

Former Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Mao Aplasca has requested the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to defer his appearance in connection with the investigation into the shooting incident at the Senate on May 13, hours before Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa left the building.

According to Aplasca, he asked for the deferment due to a scheduled Senate hearing on the events that occurred from May 11 to 14. He said he also submitted a similar request to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) last week.

It can be recalled that Aplasca is among those being investigated for alleged violations of security protocols inside the Senate after the shooting incident and the departure of Senator dela Rosa from the building. He was originally scheduled to appear before the NBI this Thursday in compliance with a subpoena issued to him.
