Speaking at the Independence Day commemoration at the Cebu Provincial Capitol grounds on Thursday, June 11, 2026, Baricuatro emphasized that honoring the sacrifices of the nation's heroes requires setting aside political differences and working together for the common good.

"Cebuanos deserve a leadership that unites, rather than divides," Baricuatro said.

She added that the people deserve a government that listens instead of attacks, and one that focuses on solutions rather than noisy politics.
