The Provincial One-Stop Shop (POSS) initiative may soon be implemented in Davao de Oro, transforming the province into a centralized entry point for various government transactions. This was announced by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) during a meeting with Governor Raul “RM” Mabanglo on April 29.
Aligning with National Law
The initiative aligns with Republic Act No. 11032, which aims to expedite transactions in government agencies and eliminate bureaucratic red tape that often delays public services. If implemented, Davao de Oro would become the pilot province for POSS in Mindanao and the second in the entire country, according to Marie Jay Kamille Dayhon, OIC Supervising Administrative Officer of ARTA’s Eastern Mindanao Regional Field Office.
Governor's Support
Governor Mabanglo expressed strong support for the initiative, stating that the province is ready for future collaboration with ARTA. He emphasized the importance of streamlining processes to better serve the public.
Additional Digital Services
ARTA also presented other programs, including Artemis (Anti-Red Tape Electronic Management Information System) and Tala (Transparency, Accountability, and Law in Action). These systems operate 24/7 through an AI Complaint Officer, offering digital solutions that the province may adopt to further improve transactions at the provincial capitol.
