Operatives of the City Intelligence Unit arrested an ex-convict during a buy-bust operation around 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in Sitio Colo, Barangay Inayawan, Cebu City.
Suspect Identified
The suspect, known only by the alias Jeloy, 28, is a resident of Sitio Kaluwasan, Barangay Inayawan, Cebu City. He was previously arrested by city police and was released in March 2025.
Confiscated Items
Seized from Jeloy were several packets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 25 grams, with an estimated value of P170,000. Also recovered were buy-bust money and other evidence.
Investigation Findings
During the investigation conducted by the City Intelligence Unit of the Cebu City Police Office, Jeloy reportedly admitted that he has a “boss” inside the Cebu City Jail who serves as his drug supplier. Authorities are now looking into this lead to dismantle the drug network.
