PSA Davao de Oro Distributes 47 National ID Awareness Kits
Davao de Oro PSA Boosts National ID Awareness

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in Davao de Oro has taken significant steps to promote the National ID system throughout the province, following the implementation of Office Memorandum No. 2024-193.

Massive Distribution of Advocacy Materials

As part of a nationwide campaign to enhance public awareness and acceptance of the Philippine Identification System, the PSA Davao de Oro office actively participated in printing and distributing promotional materials. The office distributed a total of 47 complete sets of advocacy materials across various establishments in Davao de Oro province.

According to the agency's report published on November 13, 2025, the distribution included 150 informational leaflets and 15 "National ID Accepted Here" stickers that were strategically utilized to mark participating establishments.

Reaching Both Government and Private Sectors

The distribution effort comprehensively covered both public and private institutions, ensuring widespread recognition of the National ID system. The campaign specifically targeted what PSA calls "Relying Parties" (RPs), which include government agencies, local government units (LGUs), academic institutions, health facilities, and private businesses.

Breakdown of the distribution shows that 10 government offices and 37 financial and private institutions received the advocacy materials. This strategic approach ensures that residents can use their National ID in multiple transaction scenarios, from government services to banking and commercial activities.

Strengthening National ID Acceptance

This initiative reinforces the PSA's continuing effort to promote awareness and accessibility of the National Identification System. The campaign emphasizes that the National ID in all its forms—physical card, paper version, and digital format—should be recognized as valid proof of identity across various transactions.

Through this advocacy, the PSA Davao de Oro office remains committed to fostering a more inclusive and efficient identification system. This effort paves the way toward a more streamlined and trusted identity verification process throughout the province, ultimately benefiting every Filipino in both public and private transactions.
