Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro remains unfazed by the sanctions imposed on him by China. The Chinese foreign ministry also imposed sanctions on the Secretary's wife and child. They are banned from entering mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau.
According to Teodoro, he was sanctioned simply for telling the truth. He noted that the citizens of China and some of its territories have extremely negative experiences. He assured that he will only continue doing his job.
It will be recalled that last month, during the defense summit in Singapore, Teodoro criticized China's illegal activities in the disputed islands in the West Philippine Sea.
