DOJ Receives No Official ICC Communication on Arrest Warrant vs Sen. Go
DOJ: No ICC Communication on Arrest Warrant vs Sen. Go

The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced on Thursday that it has not received any official communication from the International Criminal Court (ICC) concerning an alleged arrest warrant against Senator Christopher “Bong” Go.

In a statement, DOJ Spokesperson Polo Martinez said the information was verified with the Philippine Center on Transnational Crime (PCTC) at 10 a.m. on the same day. According to Martinez, any such warrant should be directly sent to the PCTC as part of its mandate to control and prevent transnational crime.

This clarification comes after Davao City Representative Paulo “Pulong” Duterte claimed that a “highly reliable source” informed him that arrest warrants had been issued against Go and two former police officials.
