House Majority Leader Sandro Marcos has dismissed reports that the Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE) is zero and that no funds have been allocated for the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) and Medical Assistance for Indigent Patients (MAIP) in General Santos City.
In an interview, Marcos stressed that such claims are impossible and challenged those reporting them to verify the information before spreading it.
When a reporter mentioned that the information allegedly came from Representative Leandro Leviste, Marcos reiterated that the truth of the information should first be verified. According to Marcos, he is not aware of any case with zero budget for the said programs, especially in General Santos City.
“Okay. So next time, yes po, ma’am. So next time, let’s just verify. Because before that, it’s just hearsay. As far as I know, there is no zero like that. Especially in Gensan, who would be so stupid to do that? I mean, really. Thank you,” Majority Leader Sandro Marcos said.
