The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has been placed under full alert status effective 5 PM today. NCRPO spokesperson Major Hazel Asilo stated that this signals intensified security preparations across the capital region for possible protest actions and similar activities coinciding with the celebration of the 128th Independence Day.
Enhanced Security Measures
Command and control systems, as well as emergency response assets, have been activated for faster deployment if needed. Over 8,000 police officers are deployed throughout Metro Manila to ensure peaceful conduct of gatherings.
