Senator Robin Padilla has stood firm that he will not reveal the whereabouts of Senator Ronald dela Rosa, even if he knows where he is. This was Padilla's response when asked about dela Rosa's location, who is currently being sought by authorities due to an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC) related to his role in the drug war under the previous Duterte administration.
It can be recalled that on May 28, the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group recommended filing obstruction of justice charges against Padilla in connection with dela Rosa's escape from the Senate premises in the early morning of May 14. According to the CIDG, Padilla's actions were not a simple "hitch ride" but a highly coordinated and pre-planned logistical maneuver to avoid alerting authorities about the senator's escape from the Senate.
On May 21, the Department of Justice ordered the arrest of dela Rosa.
