PBBM Urges Filipinos: Never Tire of Loving, Choosing, Fighting for PH

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. called on Filipinos to never tire of loving, choosing, and fighting for the Philippines, as the nation commemorates its independence, noting that it was redeemed by the blood of heroes.

Presidential Message on Independence Day

In his message, the President urged citizens to deepen their awareness, be discerning of the truth, and use their abilities for good rather than evil. He emphasized the importance of fighting fairly every day without exploiting the hard work of others, and choosing what is best for the country over the interests of a few.

Vision for a New Philippines

According to President Marcos, remaining faithful to these ideals will ensure that future generations inherit a nation that is stronger, more just, and more prosperous under a shared vision for a "Bagong Pilipinas."

"Let us use these lessons to develop our country and expand our independence. There are many challenges to our freedom and progress. There is corruption, division, and poverty. There are also global events and threats from climate change and nature. But despite these, my belief and hope remain in the skill, diligence, and goodness of our race, the Filipino race. On many occasions, we have shown our ability to stand for what is right, to care for others, to rise in the face of trials. Especially during calamities, we show our unity, cooperation, and compassion," the President said.
