PH Army, Air Force Aid Mindanao Quake Victims

The Philippine Army and Philippine Air Force continue their humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) operations for communities affected by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Mindanao.

Army Operations

Disaster response teams of the Philippine Army cleared blocked roads to restore access to isolated areas, conducted search and rescue operations, and provided clean drinking water in General Santos City and other affected communities.

Air Force Relief

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) delivered 1,000 'ChariTimba' relief packs from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), along with 480 family food packs from the DSWD and 450 packages of bottled water to affected areas in Davao Occidental, Davao Oriental, and Sorsogon.

PAF also conducted medical evacuation for residents of Sarangani who needed immediate medical treatment, as part of the military's ongoing disaster relief and humanitarian operations.
