In a significant move to promote the National ID system, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in Davao de Oro has launched a major campaign to distribute advocacy materials across the province.
Widespread Distribution of Advocacy Materials
The initiative, carried out on November 12, 2025, was conducted in line with Office Memorandum No. 2024-193. The primary goal is to enhance public awareness and encourage the acceptance of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) in its various forms.
As part of this nationwide effort, the PSA Davao de Oro office distributed a total of 47 sets of advocacy materials. The distribution specifically utilized 150 leaflets and 15 stickers from the allocated resources, targeting a wide range of establishments to maximize reach and impact.
Engaging Government and Private Sectors
The campaign focused on engaging Relying Parties (RPs), which include government agencies, local government units (LGUs), academic and health institutions, and private businesses. The objective is for these entities to recognize and accept all forms of the National ID—be it the physical card, paper-based version, or digital format—as a valid proof of identity.
Distribution efforts were comprehensive, reaching both the public and private sectors. A total of 10 government offices and 37 financial and private institutions in Davao de Oro received the "National ID Accepted Here" stickers and informational leaflets.

This initiative is a key part of the agency's continuous effort to promote awareness and ensure the accessibility of the National Identification System. It aims to guarantee that every Filipino can enjoy the benefits of a streamlined and trusted identity verification process in both public and private transactions.
Through this advocacy, the PSA reaffirms its commitment to fostering a more inclusive and efficient identification system in the province and throughout the Philippines, simplifying how citizens prove their identity.
