Details of the Surrender

Lieutenant Colonel Genesis Gabrido, commander of the 41st Infantry Battalion, stated that the surrendered firearms included two rifles, a grenade launcher, and three handguns. The weapons were handed over voluntarily following persistent community engagement and dialogue initiated by First Lieutenant Christian Villa, commander of the battalion's Charlie Company, along with village officials, community leaders, and local residents.

Support from Local Government

The activity received strong support from the Municipal Government of Talipao, led by Mayor Reham Tulawie and Vice Mayor Nivocadnezar Tulawie. Their commitment to peacebuilding and conflict prevention significantly contributed to the success of the initiative. All surrendered firearms were properly documented, secured, and processed in accordance with established protocols.
