A tricycle driver was injured after being stabbed by an ex-convict at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Purok Golden Durante, Sitio Tabok Lamac, Barangay Yati, Liloan town.
Victim and Suspect Identified
The victim, Roman Joguilon, 50, who is living with a partner and resides in the same area, sustained a stab wound on his right chest. The suspect, Jose Partolan, 47, single and an ex-convict, is also a neighbor of the victim. He was arrested by police after the incident.
Attack Details
According to police investigation, the victim was riding his motorcycle on his way home. Upon reaching the location, the suspect suddenly stabbed him without any apparent reason. Despite being wounded, the victim managed to seek help from his neighbors, who immediately brought him to Mendero Medical Center in Consolacion town.
Weapon Recovered
Police recovered from the suspect a 13-inch knife believed to be used in the crime. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the motive behind the attack.
