Civil society, academic, and church groups launched the 'Bantay Impeachment' campaign on Saturday to encourage public vigilance in the ongoing impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte. Members of the House prosecution team, including Bicol Saro Party-List Rep. Terry Ridon, Manila Rep. Joel Chua, and Kabataan Party-List Rep. Renee Co, attended the launch to support the initiative.

The campaign includes forums, watch parties, rallies, and other programs to monitor the impeachment process, expose any attempts to obstruct it, and encourage citizen participation.

Professor David San Juan of Taumbayan Ayaw sa Magnanakaw emphasized that evidence should be weighed rather than preventing the trial. Meanwhile, Joaquin Buenaflor of Youth Rage Against Corruption stressed the importance of the impeachment issue, noting that every peso lost to corruption is funds that should benefit the people.
